Shandon Park Golf Club, Saturday 20th August 2005
Shandon Park Golf Club, Belfast was this
year's venue for the 2005 Grand Celebration Dinner on Saturday 20 August.
Around 50 folk associated with the movement travelled from as far as Fermanagh
and Portstewart and gathered in the first floor restaurant that was booked
just for us. It was a glorious summer evening and we found
ourselves looking out over the beautifully kept rolling parkland - a haven in
the midst of a busy city.
The new caterers, Santini, did us proud with
a superb 4 course meal. Most of the evening was spent eating and enjoying one
another's company in good conversation with a bit of craic thrown in!
It was lovely to welcome new faces from some
of the churches that had weekend missions last session and hear a little of
the continuing move of God's spirit in their home churches. We also
welcomed some of those going on teams this autumn and prayed for each of the
coming mission teams and churches. Of course there were some of the old
hands there too and it was great to enjoy their company and know their solid
prayer support for all that is happening. We spotted a few ministers
with us even though they turned up in civvies!

of this happy, informal occasion!
